Eligibility & Process

General Process

Cost Related:
  • Students can select a maximum of up to 5 subjects to participate
  • Qualifier slot booking for each subject costs AED 50
  • Study material can be purchased separately at a cost of AED 50 per subject. How ever the study material doesn't guarantee any questions which comes for the exam. It is intended to provide a brief idea about the exam syllabus and the pattern of questions

    • Syllabus:
  • Syllabus of the exam is the current school syllabus irrespective of any curriculum. Students are supposed to be through with their current school syllabus depending upon the grade/year where they are registering for.

    • Registration Related:
  • The registration for the qualifiers has to be done as per the current grade/year at the time of registration irrespective of when the exam is happening. For students who starts their academic year in the month of August/September, please make sure you do the registration for the Year as of August month.
  • You may always register for a higher Grade/Year group than your current school level. But registering for a lower Grade/Year group than your school level will leads to immediate disqualification

    Mode of Exam:
  • Students from the partner school will write the exam at the School either in offline mode or online mode. Please check with your school co-ordinator or you may write to us to know whether your school is a partner school or not.
  • Students from other school can write the exam through our offline exam centres across UAE. Please write to us to get the complete details of our offline exam centres in UAE
  • Students can opt for online mode of exam as well which will be strictly proctored by our exam officers. Students opting for online mode of exams can take the test from any part of the world at their own comfort

    Exam Related:
  • The Olympiad qualifiers are conducted in 2 Rounds
  • Round 1 (Grade 1/Year 2-Grade 12/Year 13)will be held in Mid of September to Mid of October
  • Round 1 consists of 30 MCQ questions and duration of the test is of 40 minutes
  • Round 1 results will be declared in Mid of November to Mid of December
  • Round 2 (Only for Grade 8/Year 9 to Grade 12/ Year 13) will be held in Mid of November to Mid of December
  • Round 2 consists of 45 MCQ questions and duration of the test is of 60 minutes
  • TOP 10 ranked students from Round 1 (Only for Grade 8/Year 9 to Grade 12/ Year 13) will appear for second round of qualifiers. Selection cut off would be based on the percentile basis
  • All students who are not getting shortlisted to Round 2 (Only for Grade 8/Year 9 to Grade 12/ Year 13) will get participation certificates. These certificates can be collected through the Exam centers. Details for the same will be announced at the time of result declaration
  • All the students who are getting shortlisted to Round 2 (Only for Grade 8/Year 9 to Grade 12/ Year 13), will get participation certificate after successfully completing Round 2 exams. Students who write only Round 1 and miss the Round 2 exam by any means will not be considered for participation certificates
  • Round 2 Results will be declared in Mid of January to Mid of February
  • Participation certificates can be collected through the Exam centers. Details for the same will be announced at the time of result declaration.
  • Top 3 Students will receive Medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze) and Special Certificates which will be given during felicitation ceremony
  • International competition participation is strictly governed by the age restrictions imposed by the relevant organizing authorities, over which we have no control. For more information, please see the subject session below. Both of these criteria will be used to determine who makes the national team. (Meeting the age requirements and IOF qualifications).
  • Felicitation Ceremony will be held in May/June every year

    Grade 1/Year 2 to Grade 4/Year 5

      • The Olympiad exams are for practice purposes only
      • They will write only one round of exam

    Grade 5/Year 6 to Grade 7/Year 8

        • They will write only one round of qualifier
        • Top students will get an opportunity to represent UAE in respective International Competitions. Please refer to Mathematics Olympiad under Olympiad Subjects session for more information

    Grade 8/Year 9 to Grade 12/Year 13

      • The Olympiad qualifiers are for SELECTION to International Olympiad Competitions-IMO, IOAA, BMO, HOMC-Junior, HOMC- Senior. For more information about international competitions please visit the section Mathematics Olympiad under Olympiad Subjects
      • They will write two rounds of qualifiers, Round 1 & Round 2
      • Top students will get an opportunity to represent UAE in respective International Competitions. Please refer to Mathematics Olympiad under Olympiad Subjects session for more information

    Grade 1/Year 2 to Grade 4/Year 5

    • They will write only one round of exam

    Grade 5/Year 6 to Grade 7/Year 8
